The Mood Explosion workshop provides an opportunity for managers who already participated to the Dynargetic People Management or Situational Leadership trainings to apply the learning and assess their leadership skills in the context of a serious game. The scenario of a Mood Explosion workshop is as follows : participants, gathered in small groups of 2 to 3 people, effectively manage through a computer screen a virtual team of direct reports, while having to reach demanding business targets.
Practice your leadership in virtual reality
The Mood Explosion workshop provides an opportunity for managers who already participated to the Dynargetic People Management or Situational Leadership trainings to apply the learning and assess their leadership skills in the context of a serious game.
The scenario of a Mood Explosion workshop is as follows : participants, gathered in small groups of 2 to 3 people, effectively manage through a computer screen a virtual team of direct reports, while having to reach demanding business targets.
Methodology
The serious game is based on a Dynargie exclusive software and algorithm, running on any computer connected to the Internet.
It consists in the simulation of a 3-month long management assignment: every group of 2 to 3 participants leads a team of 7 direct reports, with the goal of successfully developing an event production business. There are revenue and profit targets to reach.
Over 3 periods of 1 month – each month being about 1h30mn in the simulation –, each group of 2 to 3 participants is measured against their team’s motivation, their team’s performance, and their budget compliance (revenue vs. spending).
Within each group, participants are encouraged to reflect and discuss together about the management decisions they should make, as time goes on.
After each month in the simulation, a full debriefing is organised by the consultant to enable participants to analyse their decisions and their consequences.
Results
Let participants test their leadership skills “without risk” in a situation of virtual reality.
Get them to learn how to get the best of (very) diverse direct reports, from a behaviour standpoint.
Lead them to find the right balance between speed and thoroughness in decision making, in order to optimize direct reports’ motivation and performance while reaching business goals.
Generate pro-activity and fun through a competing environment: at the end, each group of participants gets a score based on its achievements, and there will be a winning team!
